Hostería Los Pecanes is located within the area declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, in the middle of a quiet place away from the noise and crowds, ideal to spend a peaceful day, eating well and with top-quality service. Of course, it is an excellent place to enjoy and learn about the birds of the Delta. Among the species of great ornithological value, we can highlight the Dusky-legged Guan (very common and easy to observe at the inn), the Scarlet-headed Blackbird, the Grey-throated Warbling Finch, and several species of hummingbirds that we will see by the hundreds during the day.

Diego was an enthusiastic and VERY knowledgeable guide to the birds near Buenos Aires. He was great at finding birds, ensuring we saw them and had time to watch behaviors, as well as telling us about the birds’ ecological roles, migrations, behaviors, nests and the history of the park we visited. My friend and I are not skilled birders, just nature lovers, and he met us where we were at so we could have fun and learn. His English is very fluent, for those who want an English-speaking guide.
