South of Buenos Aires - Las Encadenadas Lagoon

Las Lagunas Encadenadas are a hydrographic basin located in the western sector of the province of Buenos Aires (close to the border with the province of La Pampa), this basin covers part of the municipal territories of Adolfo Alsina, Daireaux, Guaminí, Coronel Suárez, Saavedra , Puan and General La Madrid.

We will stay in a comfortable hotel in the town of Saavedra and from there we will begin our walks in search of the best species of the place, we have the possibility of seeing a lot of birds, this is a unique destination for bird watchers.

We will also make a full-day excursion to Sierra de la Ventana, to get to know this fantastic tourist spot in the area.

Day 1 - 6:00Hs
Pick you up in Buenos Aires and departure

 

We will start our excursion from some point to be agreed in the City of Buenos Aires, in the event that you do not reside in the City it is feasible to coordinate a meeting point close to our route, you can also join this excursion in your own vehicle ... During the tour we will stop at some strategic points to observe birds of the typical Buenos Aires lagoons.

Arrival to Saavedra

 

After an extensive trip, but super entertaining, we will arrive at the town of Saavedra where we will do a small city tour to get to know this picturesque railway town where one of our guides is an expert and native of the place, he will tell us about the history of the town and its avifauna.

Dinner and night in Saavedra

 

After the observation day, we will stay at a hotel in the town to regain strength for the next day.

Birdwatching at Saavedra

 

Barely 20 minutes of travel between our hotel and our sighting area, we are going to visit a privileged area for Argentine ornithology where the endangered Loica Pampeana resides and breeds, the undulating pastures of the southwest of Buenos Aires will give us many surprises!

After the observation day we will return to the hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Birdwatching at "Abra el Hinojo"

 

Early in the morning we will head towards the Curamalal mountains where we will take several walks in search of typical species of this area.

After the observation day we will return to the hotel where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Tourist visit to Sierra de la Ventana

 

We cannot miss this site, which in addition to being an excellent point for bird watching is an interesting tourist spot, we are going to visit the town of Villa Ventana and all the secrets that this beautiful mountain village holds.

Day 5 - 9:00Hs
End of the tour and return to Buenos Aires
